Ho Chi Minh City, 26 April 2024 – Indochine Counsel is delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Steve Ngo as Senior Consultant, effective April 2024. Professor Ngo brings a wealth of expertise in international arbitration and a deep understanding of the dynamics of global economic growth regions, making him a valuable addition to our team.

Professor Ngo is a distinguished international arbitrator and academic based in Singapore, specializing in arbitration across Southeast Asia, East Asia, and South Asia. He is the founding President and Executive Director of the Beihai Asia International Arbitration Centre (BAIAC) in Singapore and has served as an advisor and party representative in numerous high-profile arbitrations involving both private and governmental sectors.

Throughout his illustrious career, Professor Ngo has significantly contributed to the field of dispute resolution, authoring numerous scholarly articles and a book on the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration. His insights into cultural elements in dispute settlement and innovative practices in arbitration have been widely recognized and lauded, including a citation by the Honourable Lord Neuberger in the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators’ 2021 annual lecture.

In addition to his role at Indochine Counsel, Professor Ngo serves on several prestigious boards and advisory panels, including the Centre of Alternative Dispute Resolution at National Law University Delhi and the Asia Advisory Board of the American Arbitration Association – International Centre for Dispute Resolution.
