Le Van Duong is an Of Counsel at Indochine Counsel. Duong has 16 years of experience to work with clients on matters involving investment, real estate, energy and natural resources, corporate & commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions for both domestic and international corporations.

Prior to joining Indochine Counsel, Duong worked as an associate for two local law firms, LDV Lawyers and YKVN, and as a senior associate for a Korean law firm, Jipyong Law Vietnam LLC. He also practices as an in-house counsel for Knight Frank Vietnam, Masan Group and Vingroup.

Experience

Duong’s notable transactions include:

• Advised a local medical equipment group on sale of its business to a Singapore medical system group with value of VND791 Billion
• Advised a leading local property & trading group for drafting commercial contracts, sale and purchase contracts, and e-commercial policies/contracts;
• Advised and assisted a major mining company on operational issues of a mining project, joint ventures, private placements to foreign investment funds, and issuance of corporate bonds;
• Advised a leading Korean bank in purchasing equity of foreign invested security company in Vietnam;
• Advised a Korean insurance corporation in purchasing equity of State owned insurance corporation;
• Advised Korean invested enterprises in Vietnam on their day to day business operations, including Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, Lotte, Deasang, NH Securities, Hyundai, Posco, Sumika, Taixin, Kexim, IBK, Woori Bank;
• Advised several Korean investors to set up their businesses in Vietnam in various sectors such as distribution & trading, advertisement, production;
• Advised an US energy company on its production sharing contract with PVN; and
• Prepared some parts of DDR for advising a number of Vietnamese corporations on its listing in Singapore Stock Exchange.
