Mai specializes in public and private financing, representing lenders, project companies, sponsors, and investor clients in cross-border transactions involving Vietnam, across a diverse range of industry sectors. She provides advice on regulatory frameworks for offshore wind and seaport development, banking and financial regulatory compliance, as well as various M&A, joint ventures, and anti-bribery corruption compliance reviews of foreign-invested companies in Vietnam.
Before joining Indochine Counsel, Mai gained valuable experience working in an international law firm, a prestigious regional law firm, and a leading national law firm in Vietnam. Additionally, she served in-house for a life insurance company and worked with numerous international public organizations and development agencies on matters related to international law and international development. Mai’s unique blend of experience in private and public practice, on both national and international platforms, and in various in-house and external roles, sets her apart as a unique corporate lawyer in the market.
Mai holds an LLB from Hanoi Law University (2000) and an MPhil from the University of Oslo, Faculty of Law (Norway) (2012). With over 10 years of professional experience, she is poised to add significant value to Indochine Counsel and its clients.
