The Practical Law Company's Cross-Border Handbook is a comprehensive multi-jurisdictional guide that provides country-specific answers and tips concerning corporate governance law and practice for attorneys and firms worldwide. For each country-specific section, the Practical Law Company chose a leading law firm that had been recommended for its corporate governance expertise in the specified country and whom the company had researched independently to contribute answers and guidance on the corporate governance and directors' duties within a specified county.

As such, the Practical Law Company chose Indochine Counsel to contribute to the Handbook for their country-specific section on Vietnam. 

The chapter contributed by Dang The Duc and Steve Jacob is written in a Question & Answer format and provides a structural overview of the key practical issues concerning corporate governance.  Particularly, the chapter outlines specific Vietnamese laws that relate to directors, internal controls, accounting and auditing, the role of investors, and shareholders.
