Indochine Counsel is proud to announce the publication of the World Bank's Corporate Governance ROSC (Report on the Observance of Standards and Codes) for Vietnam 2013 (“ROSC Vietnam”) recently published by the World Bank. The ROSC Vietnam is a detailed overview of Vietnam's current corporate governance situation and examines the state of shareholder relations, board control and actions, auditing and reporting, and other aspects of corporate governance in Vietnam. It is a review of both legislation and actual situations throughout the country and provides a framework from which legislators and stakeholders can take action to improve corporate governance both individually and systemically.

Indochine Counsel is pleased to contribute to a new business and investment guide recently published by Sweet & Maxwell, a Thomson Reuters business, “Business Investment Guide: Vietnam”. The guide is updated by Indochine Counsel lawyers and offers a wide overview of issues ranging from insurance and shipping to investment forms and taxation. It is an indispensable introduction to the challenges facing investors in Vietnam.

After a four year absence, Steve Jacob has returned to Indochine Counsel. After his graduation from law school at Santa Clara University School of Law, and his certification as an attorney in California, Steven Jacob joined Indochine Counsel as a Foreign Consultant. He worked with Dang The Duc as a corporate and commercial attorney, handling cases ranging from international trade matters to incorporation and M&A. After a year with Indochine Counsel, he transferred to Cambodia where he worked with the boutique law firm Bun & Associates.
