Last month, on 22 May 2025, Asian Legal Business organized the ALB SE Asia Law Awards 2025 in Singapore, honouring the region’s best individuals, deals, in-house legal teams, and law firms.
Among this year’s outstanding finalists, Mr. Pham Hoang Vu, Associate | Deputy Head of Projects & Infrastructure at Indochine Counsel, was named a Finalist in the Fintech Lawyer of the Year category.
Given that the judging panel comprised senior and expert legal professionals from diverse sectors, Mr. Vu’s nomination stood as a strong recognition of his meaningful contributions to the development and innovation of financial technology. In addition, Mr. Vu was highly rated and trusted by a diverse range of fintech clients, from SMEs and start-up firms to multinational companies and foreign investors.
In recent years, Mr. Vu played a critical role in several complex matters within the fintech sector. One of his notable successes involved working with the Indochine Counsel’s TMT team to support a Singapore-based fintech firm in reviewing and improving the current lending business model. Mr. Vu provided legal guidance on the client’s fee structure, covering loan principal, interest components, and potential late payment interest rates, all within the framework of Vietnam’s anti-usury and consumer protection legislation.
