Indochine Counsel is pleased to share that Mrs. Thai Gia Han, Senior Associate & Head of IP & TMT Practice Group at Indochine Counsel, and Mr. Nguyen Trung Nghia, Junior Associate has been recognised as a contributor to the Principles of ASEAN Framework on Cross-border Cloud Computing, a landmark publication developed by the Asian Business Law Institute (ABLI) under the ASEAN Framework on Cross-border Cloud Computing project.
The Framework, endorsed at the 6th ASEAN Digital Ministers’ Meeting in January 2026, establishes a set of ASEAN-wide principles to facilitate trusted cross-border data flows and strengthen the legal and regulatory governance of cloud computing across the region. A key innovation introduced by the Framework is the concept of the Trusted Data Corridor (TDC), designed to enable secure and interoperable cloud services while supporting regional digital integration.
The project was led by ABLI as consultant to the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and was developed through extensive consultation with government agencies, technology companies, industry stakeholders, and legal experts from across ASEAN.
We congratulate Mrs. Thai Gia Han and Mr. Nguyen Trung Nghia on their contribution to this important regional initiative, which reflects Indochine Counsel’s dedication to supporting the development of legal frameworks that foster digital innovation and trusted cross-border data governance across ASEAN.
