Indochine Counsel is pleased to share that our Managing Partner, Mr. Dang The Duc, recently joined as a lecturer for the Independent Director Training Programme (IDTP – Cohort 1) held from 17 to 19 January 2026. This intensive executive programme was organised by the Vietnam Institute of Corporate Governance (VNICG) under the auspices of the Vietnam Independent Directors Association (VNIDA).
With his voluntary role as Vice President and Secretary General of VNIDA, Deputy Director in the Management Council of VNICG and Founding Member of IIA Vietnam, Mr. Duc brings a multi-dimensional perspective to corporate governance in Vietnam. His expertise spans legal advisory, internal audit, and board leadership, providing participants with practical insights into the evolving role of Independent Directors (ID).
At the cohort, IDTP brought together a carefully selected group of board members, senior executives, and experienced professionals from diverse backgrounds, including law, finance, audit, investment, and corporate governance. The intensive programme provided a forum for in-depth discussions on the evolving role of independent directors and their contribution to effective, ethical, and accountable board governance.
During the programme, participants examined key topics such as board dynamics, professional ethics, oversight responsibilities, and governance challenges in an increasingly complex regulatory and ESG landscape. In his lectures, Mr. Dang The Duc shared strategic perspectives drawn from years of advising boards and senior management teams, contributing to the programme’s broader objective of strengthening governance practices and decision-making at board level.
