On 12 August 2026, Indochine Counsel was pleased to participate in the Ho Chi Minh City Corporate Legal Management Series (LMS 2026) – Finance Sector, under the theme “Digital Transformation in Financial Transactions: Facilitating Capital Flows or Complicating Disputes?” hosted by VIAC. The conference was held at Hotel Majestic Saigon and brought together legal professionals and industry stakeholders to discuss the evolving legal landscape of digital finance.
Representing Indochine Counsel at the event were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc – Associate Head of Investment and Corporate Services, Ms. Vu Pham Huyen My – Junior Associate, and Ms. Than Thi To Nhi – Junior Associate.
The conference focused on how technological developments are reshaping credit, financing and investment activities, as financial transactions increasingly move from traditional channels to digital environments. Discussions also explored the emergence of new-generation financial markets and digital asset transactions, highlighting the legal and practical considerations for businesses operating in this rapidly evolving landscape.
The programme featured two main sessions:
- Digital Financial Transactions and the Emergence of New-Generation Financial Markets, examining the digitalisation of credit and financing transactions, emerging legal considerations, and developments relating to digital assets.
- Dispute Resolution in Digital Financial Transactions: Current Practice and Future Directions, discussing emerging disputes in credit, financing and digital asset transactions, the potential application of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), international experience, and directions for further developing Vietnam’s legal framework.
The discussions provided an opportunity for participants to exchange practical perspectives on the opportunities and challenges arising from digital transformation in financial services, while considering how businesses can better manage legal and dispute-related risks in an increasingly digital environment.
